What should we wear?

• Less is more. Rule of thumb is no more than 2 or 3 colors in the outfit.

• Earth tones and light colors usually do very well. Neon or loud colors are generally discouraged. No logos please. To keep the look timeless, try to avoid trendy clothing with words or logos.

• Think coordinating, not matchy-matchy. Incorporate colors and patterns that fit well together.

• Consider the background and theme when deciding on the outfit. For example, do not wear green if we are shooting on grass. Or if the background is very colorful, a more muted and plain (such as beige) outfit will stand out.

• Accessories such as scarves, necklaces, and clothing layers can be great.

• Always feel free to text or email me your clothing options laid out before our session!

When should we arrive?

• Please be on time and ready to start session at the beginning of your session. Because we book these fall mini-sessions back-to-back, there is no wiggle room. If you are running late I unfortunately cannot give you extra time during your session since it would push back each session following.

• It is usually helpful to arrive at the session at least 15 minutes in advance so you have time to park and tidy up before your session begins. It also gives you time to deal with any food/water/bathroom needs.

How should we prepare our children for the session?

• Get your kids excited for the session and let them know how much fun it will be, but no need to over prepare them or add too much pressure for "best behavior."

• Kids pick up on your stress, so stay cool, even when they throw a tantrum. Our goal is to capture their true expressions, and keeping it light and fun is essential to that.

• Our best behaved children (and adults for that matter) are usually those that are well fed and well rested before our session. Feel free to bring treats to reward good behavior during our session!

• For infants and toddlers, please bring any and all items (such as lovies) that will help comfort them.

• In cold weather, please make sure the kids are dressed warmly. Do not assume the kids can brave the cold. In my experience, kids become very miserable very soon when they have to photograph in the cold.

When will I receive my proof gallery and actual digital files?

• You will receive your unedited proof gallery within 1 week of the session. After you have finalized your choices, there will be a 3 week turnaround time to receive the edited digital files. A rush fee might be applied if you need the digital files before the 3 week turnaround time.

Can I purchase more images then what is included in my package?

• Yes, you can purchase extra images that were not included in your package. Each additional photo is $75. If you choose to purchase multiple photos, please ask for a bundle price.
